I would probably have to say when we first opened our pool and we had a BBQ to go along with it. It was just relaxing and a great way to celebrate my father.

Each year my mom, sister, and I pick a theme and surprise all the dads/husbands with a get together! Last year it was baseball, the year before Mexican Fiesta! It’s a lot of fun!

My favorite Father’s day memory was going RV camping in Wisconsin with my brother and Dad.

My favorite Father’s Day Memory is the one where my 5 kids and I celebrated Father’s Day for a whole week. It was both sweet and hard to be good for a week, but we all pitched in to make it work. Homemade cards, special foods, favorite desserts and “Free Time” without complaints were the main attractions.

Not trying to be a Debbie Downer but I do not have any Father’s Day memories. My dad left, when I was 11, and I never celebrated Father’s Day with him after that. I don’t recall any Father’s Day celebrations prior to that either, although I am sure that they happened.

Every year I get my dad one funny/weird gag type gift to include in his fathers day gifts, it’s a great way to have a laugh and he usually returns the favor on one of the holidays.

My dad was a hard working blue collar man and pretty quiet to boot. My fondest memory is him relaxing on Father’s Day with a cold Pepsi (his favorite) and seeing if he won on his scratch off tickets.

My boyfriend and I were at a Nascar race in Michigan that fell on fathers day that year. We called my dad and he was overjoyed that we remembered and thought of him while we were out of state

My father that is no longer with us….we used to go fishing every Father’s Day at the same lake. Now his ashes have been spread into the lake we used to go fishing at and we go there every Fathers Day to visit still.

I wasn’t able to celebrate Father’s day for a while since I was abroad, so I guess my favorite memory was this year (in Italy it’s celebrated on March, 19th) because my family was all reunited and had a big lunch and then played board games.

The first Father’s Day after our daughter was born was very special for my husband.

My dad’s very positive response to my home-made, last-minute gift. I woke up on Father’s Day when I was about 10 and realized I hadn’t got my dad anything. No shops were open (small town on a Sunday in the late 50s) so I had to make something with what I had. I covered an empty box with foil and cut a hole on the top for dad to put his coins in. Dad had that on his dresser until I was in high school. I smiled every time I saw it

  30. Reply Debra Branigan

I honestly don’t have one. Father’s Day has not been an important day in my life….just another Sunday.

My favorite was when I was little and had both my Dad and Grandpa around for Father’s Day.

My dad passed away when I was a child so I don’t really celebrate father’s day. I will be a first time mom in August so I will soon start to make Father’s Day memories with my boyfriend.

When we were little my sister and I saved up to buy my dad a Father’s Day cake and he chose a chocolate mint cake.
