My favorite memory of my father is when he took me on an camping / fishing trip. It was just the two of us and he cooked over the campfire. It was a great time for just the two of us.

I am the oldest of 7 siblings. My father was a manufactures rep and was on the road 3-4 days of the week. He came home on the weekend and he made sure he spent that time with his family. He always said that friends would ask him to go play golf (which he liked) but he did not start doing that until he was able to bring some of us along with him. He liked spending time with his family. As we got older we each went on a trip with him to different parts of the country. It was nice to get to know him as a friend.

My father would make a a sweet gesture that meant he loved me which coming from a hardworking farmer was quite amazing.

My favourite memory of my father is when we went with another family with kids to Crescent Beach for the day. My dad and his friend went digging for clams, without shovels. It was hilarious. They did catch a lot, and we had a clam bake over fire.

I don’t have any of my father; but I do have quite a few of my grandfather. Like going to a library book sale together 😉 .
