    One of my favorite summer memories is that I grew up in a small town in the Midwest. Quite often there would be town picnics where all the people brought wonderful things to eat. Dessert was always locally grown watermelons.

    The road trips (from the Netherlands to Turkey) we took every other Summer to visit family in Turkey for 6 weeks.
