My fondest Father’s Day memory was when I was about 10 years old and just the two of us went fishing on a gorgous sunny day. I caught the largest fish and he looked so proud of me.

I can’t really think of any specific memories. I always enjoyed visiting with him on father’s day, however.

I remember helping my kids pick out presents for their dad. They had some fairly bizarre ideas about what he would like.

It was a few years ago, when my father-in-law was still alive. We had the whole family, including grandkids, great grandkids and it was loud and huge and wonderful.

Every day I am reminded of the blessings of being a father to my amazing daughter. Every day is Father’s Day in my life.

My favorite father’s day memory was when my dad was still alive and we celebrated both my dad and my husband who was a new father of twin boys who perhaps someday will be father’s themselves.
