2018 Second Quarter Faves!

Wow! This year is absolutely flying by! I can’t believe that we’re already finished with the second quarter of the year! With that being said, I’m going to go through some of my current favorites that I discovered or fell in love with this past quarter so let’s get started!

The first thing that I have utterly obsessed with is GOT7. You may have heard about this Korean group already from my last quarterly favorites post but there’s something about these boys that I just love! With their latest album, EYES ON YOU, and their World Tour this year, I am happy to say that I will be going to see them next month when they come to Toronto. To say I’m excited is an understatement! At the same time, they are also releasing and promoting in Japan with their new single ‘The New Era’. They are all that I’ve been listening to lately.

Moving onto my favorite makeup favorites, I have kind of gone back to my all-time favorite products, which coincidentally are Mac products. I love their eyeshadows and they are the only shadows I use now. My favorite shades are Mulch and Patina in particular. They are great for an easy everyday polished look. And for the lips, I have returned to my go-to: Soar lip pencil and Viva Glam ll lipstick. It’s a great neutral shade that makes you look put together without going over the top. This lip combo is the one that everyone asks me about whenever I wear it so I know it’s a keeper!

Of course, this wouldn’t be a favorites post if I didn’t talk about books! I read and enjoyed THE THIEF by J.R. Ward. Although it isn’t my favorite book in the series, I can still appreciate it’s wonderful writing. Ward really is an amazing writer. I also really fell in love with J.D. Robb’s NEW YORK TO DALLAS. I don’t know why it took me to read this book. I’ve literally had it on my bookshelves ever since it came out, but I am glad that I have read it now. It was an emotional journey and one that stands out in the series for me. I also really loved HELLO STRANGER by Lisa Kleypas. This is another book that captured my heart with its charm and sweetness. I swear Kleypas cannot write a bad story! And lastly, I really loved the change in LAKE SILENCE by Anne Bishop. It was a breath of fresh air and I think readers will really love this series.
